As a little boy, I sailed aboard my father's police boat.
As proud as a peacock, he took care of all the maritime traffic on the mega-busy waters around Dordrecht and Rotterdam. Of course, I also wanted to become a water policeman, but things turned out differently. I studied communication sciences and first became a German teacher. Later, I became a spokesperson and communications consultant. However, working on the water was a desire that never left. Soon, I got the opportunity to become manager of marketing & communications for the great software company, Shipbuilder, where I could completely focus on the maritime sector. I started by putting the company in the spotlight. Several companies followed. And now, eight years later, I find myself guiding companies just like my father did. Not over water but over the gigantically busy, digital road, and with a breadth of experience.
